Lily tried to hold back a sob as she ran up the cobbled steps to the Owlery, her tears clouding up her gaze making it all too easy for her to slip and get injured. But at this point, she didn't know if she cared any more. Her normally neat and shiny red hair she pride herself in having so much care of was messed up and upset. There was a bruise on her forearm where the burly Slytherin Seventh year had struck her, and her eyes were red from crying. Lily felt her scalp where her hair was pulled, and winced. She had been trying to be friends with them, but she guessed her family was right. Slytherins were not as nice as she built them up to be, and they lighted the need for revenge in the usually sweet and indifferent little first year.
She forget about her vowed revenge to glance at the letter in her hand. Was it really what she wanted, or would she be chickening out at the slightest bit of pain. Her father had told her grand tales of his own childhood, and he had faced so much worse. Another tear leeks out and she leaned against the Owlery wall to steady herself. Forget about sitting down on the droppings covered floor. She felt a slight weight on her shoulder and looked up to have her face covered by a mass of feathers. "oh, Clarity, should I do this?" she asked her owl, wishing it could answer back. For n her hand was a note to ask her mom to take her away from Hogarts, and it was now Do or Die Time.

Lora smiled as she released her owl through one of the windows of the Owlery, hearing it hoot a few times as it left. She watched the small owl until it disappeared behind a cloud. Lora had just sent a letter to her mother, telling her what had happened at Hogwarts recently. Nothing much has happened lately...all is well, she recalled some words from her letter.
She walked back down the steps, as she had been on a higher floor there. When she reached the bottom, she noticed a girl who seemed to be fighting back tears, asking her owl whether she should do this or not. What she was trying to do, Lora did not know. But she did know the girl's name.
"Lily? Is that you?" Lora asked, walking over to her. Lora had only met Lily once, but she recognized her appearance. Lily was the child of her mother's friends, Ginny and Harry. She looked extremely sad. "What's wrong?"

Lily straightened up at the sound of a voice, wary for more trouble but gave a watery smile as she saw the worried figure. "Hi, Lora, "she said, her voice bright and friendly, but above all fake. She didn't know what to do...should she tell her or not? Lily knew that if she did, Lora would probably tell her trouble maker of a brother, James who would probably go all over-protective...as if the whole Potter family doesn't already.
"Nothing, I just had some problems with some annoying Slytherins,"she said, her voice breathy as she tried to conceal the pain she felt running up and down her arm. She tried to brush a strand of her curtain of messy red hair back over her shoulder, and winced as she felt another flash of pain. Concealing this was not going to be easy...

Lora tilted her head sideways a bit. By the way she looked and seemed to be fighting back tears, Slytherins didn't seem to be the only problem. "By the way you look, Slytherins can't be the only problem. What were you asking your owl to do?" Lora asked calmly.
Of course, using the little bit of logic put inside of her, she could tell that something big was in that letter. And combining the appearence of Lily and the importance that surrounded the letter, Lora thought she had figured it out. "Lily, please don't tell me that you're actually thinking of leaving Hogwarts?" she said, her eyes widening. Lora had had her fair share of horrible days in her first year, but she had never actually thought of leaving.

Ginny bit her lip sadly, although it did have something to do with pain. "Those Slytherins are freaking bullies," she finally choked out, her voice harsh, and gasped at herself in surprise. Ginny was not one to swear, being the normally perfect mommy's girl. "Oh, please, don't tell my family I said that,"she said, bursting to tears.
She nodded, struggling to fight back the river of pain and surprise. She felt a pang of anger at herself as Lorcan looked at her in surprise. Lora probably felt disgust at her pathetic little friend, giving in at the slightest bit of resistance. She slowly rolled up her sleeve, at lost of what to do. "A whole gang of them rounded up on me," she explained, tears flowing and hiccuping slightly as she showed Lora her purplish-red bruise.

Lora looked sadly at Lily. "I won't. I don't really understand why Slytherins feel the need to do stuff like that. You really should tell someone that this happened, instead of just deciding to leave," Lora reasoned, looking quite serious.
"I know that most people will probably think that's weak or something like that, but if they hurt you, it's not like them just teasing you. It's worth it to tell a teacher." Lora thought this all over. Poor Lily, as a first year, she's already getting pushed around, seriously, by Slytherins, Lora thought.
