Looking into the mirror, Pramada fixed the liner around her eyes but gave a soft groan of displeasure. For some reason, she just didn't look how she wanted to today. Her slender fingers turned the frigid metal knob to the sink and immediately a stream of cold water came pouring out of the faucet. For a moment or two, Pramada watched as it splashed into the bottom of the sink before she stuck her hands under the water and splashed it against her face. It was just as cold as it looked.
Reinvigorated by the freezing water against her skin, she looked back up at her face in the mirror to see that all of the make-up she'd put on earlier was washed away. Grabbing her towel, she dabbed her hands and face dry before turning the water off. For some reason, she wondered where the annoying ghost, who usually occupied the toilets of this floor, had gone to. She hadn't made an appearance at all in the last twenty minutes that Pramada had been in here.

Lora smiled slightly as she pushed open the door to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. Normally, anyone who walked in here would either try to open the door as quietly as possible, or just avoid it on all levels all together. But Lora, being the unique girl she is, visits this bathroom often to talk to Moaning Myrtle. After all, she may moan, flood the bathrooms, and annoy people who are in other bathrooms all over the school, but she was a pretty nice person when you got around all the judgement people put on her.
But when Lora walked into the bathroom, she didn't see Myrtle at all. In fact, the only moving thing in sight seemed to be an older Slytherin girl, testing make-up in a sink. Not really into the whole make-up thing, she thought about turning around and leaving for a second, but then she remembered that she shouldn't be the judgemental type. After all, her simplicity and kindness is what got her to come in here and talk to Myrtle in the first place. Lora let the door close behind her, and walked in.

Hearing the door open and shut off to the right of her sink, Pramada watched as a younger girl entered. From the looks of it, she was in Ravenclaw house. Though Mada was in Slytherin, she didn't really descriminate based off of house or blood. She, herself, was merely a halfblood with siblings in every Hogwarts house. Her very own father, after all, was a muggleborn and her sisters, Amara and Nayana, were in Ravenclaw. No, the thing that landed Pramada in Slytherin was her cunning and desire to always be the best at everything, no matter the costs and results.
Turning back to her mirror, she checked to make sure that every bit of make-up was completely gone. Instead of getting technical with her appearance today, she decided that maybe a little bit of lip gloss would prove to be her best option. Reaching into her handbag, Pramada pulled out some clear, glittery lip gloss. After applying it, she gave herself a once over in the mirror and followed it with an approving nod. Only now, could she address the other girl. Giving the younger student a soft smile, and thoroughly gauging her use, Mada greeted, "Well hello there. Didn't suspect anyone else really cared to use these toilets."

Lora smiled. "No, no, no. I was just here to see Myrtle for a little bit. But she's not here," she said serenely, looking up at one of the flames dancing in a torch. Of course, about a second after that, she regretted what she had said. Lora does this often. How silly did it sound that she was here to see a ghost? But then, a second later, she pushed it aside. Obviously, this girl wasn't the judgemental type.
Instead of continuing to just stand in the doorway, she walked in more. "Of course, I don't normally see people in here either. In fact, you're the first one I've seen...well, ever." It's true that very few people besides herself ever visited. Although she did hear this one story from Ginny, a family friend, that once her husband Harry, her brother Ron, and his wife Hermione once used this bathroom as a place to brew their Polyjuice Potion when they were in her year. "I don't think I recognize you, what's your name?"

Pramada thought it very unusual that someone would actually come to see that obnoxious and whiney ghost. Mada didn't have anything specific against ghosts but Myrtle was a whole other story. All she ever did was complain and whine about things and how unfair everything was. The only reason Pramada used this bathroom was to escape from everyone else. Even putting up with Moaning Myrtle for a few minutes was better than dealing with gossiping, complaining classmates.
"Oh, yes, well, there's only a fifty percent chance that I'll be disturbed in here...whereas, it's almost a guarantee that bothersome people will interrupt in any of the other bathrooms," Pramada replied honestly before casually introducing, "Name's Pramada Finch-Fletchley...seventh year Slytherin. And who, might I ask, would you be?" She had been very careful to make sure that her tone didn't come off as rude or demanding. That was one thing that Mada took pride in. She could control her tones, expressions and emotions.

"It does make sense to go to a place where you're less likely to be disturbed," she said simply, nodding. "I'm Lorcan Scamander, second year Ravenclaw. But you can call my Lora, Lorcan is just sort of...long and bothersome." For few seconds, she stared out one of the windows in the bathroom. Lora was sometimes distracted fairly easily. She shook herself back into reality. "Sorry. Sometimes I do just do that sort of thing. Get distracted easily."

The girl, though still young and obviously easily distracted, seemed to at least grasp basic concepts. Pramada kept a careful eye upon the younger girl for any indication as to whether she could be of some use or if she was even worth the time this converstaion was taking. Then again, with not much else to do for the day, Mada could see having a full out discussion with a Ravenclaw. Naturally, she assumed, the average intelligence of a second year Ravenclaw would be close to that of a third or fourth year from virtually any other house.
"Lora. That certainly is quite an interesting name. You're related to the author of that book for the Creatures class, right?" she questioned, recalling seeing the surname on one of her sibling's books. Pramada chose not to take the class simply because she didn't care to lose any limbs or get exceedingly dirty because of some little animal. The dirtiest she cared to get was in potions class.

Lora nodded. She was usually asked that by the people she told her last name to. "I'm also related to the Lovegoods, as Luna Lovegood is my mother. I suppose you've heard of that name?"
The name "Scamander" isn't really the problem for her. They always relate her to a man she never met named Newt Scamander, whom her father was related to. But "Lovegood," people always took the wrong way. Just because her grandfather wrote The Quibbler, a magazine thought to be crazy by many.
Of course, on the other hand, Luna also helped fight in the Ministry of Magic, at the first Hogwarts battle, and at the final, all famous, Battle of Hogwarts. She wished she were more associated with that name, other than the one that many thought to be crazy. She has no problem with it, but sometimes people start to act differently around her just because of that.
