"This romeo is bleeding, but you can't see his blood. It's nothing but some feelings..." sang Kaitlin Finnigan in a soft mumble as she walked through the upper level corridors. It was pretty empty in the castle but she didn't really care. She needed time and space to think anyway. Life had always been pretty easy for her but, lately, things seemed to get a little more confusing for the Gryffindor girl. It wasn't like she too much of a reason to be confused since it was mostly just stuff about boys and how silly they were. Nonetheless, she did need a bit of a break from the incomprehensibility of boys.
If what she'd heard from her mum and dad was true, there was a room in this particular corridor that appeared when it was needed. She needed a place to relax where no boys could find her...or none of the ones she knew personally anyway. It seemed like there was no way her parents had been telling the truth. The only thing she could see was some enormous tapestry. Surely this wasn't the entrance! Sighing, she walked down the corridor in the opposite direction in search of the hidden entrance to a room that she didn't even know whether it really existed. Mum was always one to start and spread rumours. The more she thought about it, though, Katie wondered if this was just another rumour. If her dad said it was there, maybe it really was. Perhaps she just wasn't looking hard enough.
Turning back the way she'd just gone only a few moments earlier, she went on to quietly sing, "...I'll be there till the stars don't shine, 'til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme..." Just as she started to finish the chorus, she noticed that there was, in fact, a door formed in the wall that she'd just walked by. Her eyes wide, Katie pushed the door open to see a room decorated in red and gold. There was a couch and two over stuffed chairs situated around a table over near the window while another small table sat beneath a radio. A muggle radio?! She couldn't believe her eyes. Walking in and closing the door behind her, Kaitlin inspected the room better to find that there were a few fashion magazines, a couple good books and even a fully stocked refrigerator in the room as well. It was like a paradise right here inside the castle. Strolling over to the radio, she pushed the button and music began to play: "And I know when I die, you'll be on my mind...And I'll love you - Always."
