Name:
Elaine Channing
Nickname, if any:
El, Eli, Ella- which only her brother calls her
Age/Year:
Fifth
House:(Canons only)
Family:
To the Channing family, Elaine was the second and the last child. The girl was born to a wealthy and happy family in the country of Canada. On February 13th, at 11:11pm, a baby girl was born to the family. The two parents decided, then, that they would have no more kids. Their family was now perfect and nothing could change that. The whole irony about Elaine is that she was born one day before Valentine’s Day and yet this girl doesn’t believe in love after all the way she has been brought up. She believes in money, in etiquette, in value, but not in this silly thing called love.

A beautiful mother:
Angelina Channing
A kind father:
Benjamin Channing
A charming brother:
Peter Channing
Appearance:
Her straight, dark brown hair neatly flows a few inches below her shoulder blades. Her hair, for the most part, is open so that it can breath. Her skin isn’t dark, but it isn’t as pale as a ghost either. It does tend to get tanned quite often though which she finds a bit irritating. In each ear is one hole which holds a medium sized, gold hoop earring. Her shining light brown eyes show some emotion while her eyelashes are thicker than normal, but barely.
Elaine’s figure is just right, according to herself , but at times she can be a bit too self conscious of herself. Her weight has been steady for a while and she isn’t planning to change it for quite a while. Although the girl is a bit on the taller side, she doesn’t mind, for she believes that it is better than being short.
Unlike others, who tend to design their own clothes, Elaine buys clothes from large stores, not bothering if they’re expensive or cheap as long as their quality and their looks are nice. Her clothes tend to change often, for she likes to change from jeans to skirts or from shorts to jeans.
Wand:
11 ¾ inches Ebony Wood and Pegasus Feather laced with Unicorn hair
[About the wand: extra; Although Elaine disagrees with the control freak and center of attention part. She’d rather say that she’s manipulative instead.
The unique double-core combination creates a certain tendancy for this type of wand to be rather thick, taking a special sort of witch or wizard to extract the true intensity of it's power. Ebony is a fine-quality, rather costly dark wood that is hard and durable. It also carries a beatiful black luster when polished, radiating a certain air of cold-shouldered class and expensive taste. This wand-holder is usually rather stubborn and shuns outsiders, remaining rather secretive of their core being.
But at the heart of this wand is a stunningly complex weaving of two powerfully magical beasts. A favored wand among witches rather than wizards, because of their ability to tame the unicorn's magic. The strand is laced around the pegasus feather, trapping the deep-rooted essense of a dreamer with high expectations between the subtle strands of a control freak who loves to be worshipped as the center of attention. This blend of character is incredibly refined and rare. ]
Personality:(at least one paragraph)
Coming from such a perfect family, her personality tends to be the opposite of all those kind, sweet girls. If she finds a fault in a person or if she has something on her mind, she will tell a person, even if they’re a stranger. She is quite distant because she knows that people will only try to get close to her because of her family or her status. That way, she does have friends, but sometimes she wonders if the label is real or not.
She rarely fights or argues and tries to avoid conflict, but she isn’t afraid of them all. She isn’t afraid to be sarcastic or snap back at another person either. Instead of being weak and pathetic, Elaine is a person who has lots of self confidence which, at times, is mistaken for her being thingyy and snobbish. Honestly, she doesn’t care about what others think of her since she has plenty of confidence in herself.
She isn’t a stone though, the teenage girl does have emotions, but rarely shows the good ones. It’s quite hard to get her angry, but it’s easy to get her irritated. When she’s irritated, she tries her best to deal with the situation without shouting and it works, mostly. Her passions vary from painting to playing the piano, but she had mostly taken up all these courses due to her parents demand -ehm- advice for her to learn new things. After all, in their eyes, she was suppose to be perfect. .

"El! The voice of a young girl rang throughout the room as a soft yawn escaped her lips.
"Eli!" She tried once again, slightly frowning now as her gaze moved towards the shoulder length, dark brown haired girl.
"Elaine!" One last time, but louder now.
A scowl outlined the teen's lips as the other girl turned her head, her light brown eyes darted to the figure of her roommate. She was merely trying to tick her off, Elaine knew that because nobody at all was allowed to call her by that name. "What?!" She spoke in a bitter tone, almost as if she was annoyed. Here she was, calm and silent, a paperback novel in her hand as she read it while sitting on the couch. Apprantely, her roommate simply had to go and interrupt her. Placing the bookmark inside the book, she put the book on the table close by.
Taking a quick glace back at the watch, the girl then replied, a bit hesitant. Perhaps she shouldn‘t have said anything. "It's breakfast time, I’m going down. See you there in a bit."
Standing up from the couch without taking one last glance at the girl who was still sitting on her bed stretching, Elaine dusted her dark blue jeans that were custom designed in a very unique way at the side of the jeans and at the pockets. Simple, matching sport shoes adorned her feet as she exited the room and closed the door, now heading towards the cafeteria in the other building. Since it was a weekend though, she doubted that she would see the other girl. Most people spent their spare time on weekends with their boyfriends and girlfriends, as she had observed and personally, Elaine had no spare time for that girl.
